Mediterranean restaurant in Chelsea

A new project by a brilliant duo - when Evgeny Kuzin and Izu Ani open a restaurant together, it’s always something special. Their portfolio includes several fashionable establishments in pampered Dubai - and one of them, Michelin-starred Gaia, recently gained a younger brother in London's Chelsea. Directly opposite the Ritz Hotel.

A prestigious address obliges - an aesthetic establishment, bathed in all shades of sand, fragrant with flowers and named after the Greek goddess of the Earth, mother of the Sun. The design is minimalist - sofas along the walls, a wine library right there, a solid oak bar counter, heavy wooden tables, olives in tubs and intricately curved neon tubes.

The menu includes Mediterranean classics with maximum seasonality. The presentation is traditional, the portions are generous, the recipes are authentic. Under the supervision of two masters, the kitchen is helmed by chef Haris Khaltai. The meze collection is delicious, with special attention to the freshly baked bread with the signature babaganoush. A Greek meal allows the whole group to share dishes: golden-brown baked potatoes and fried mushrooms with spicy mayonnaise are served in spacious bowls, sea bream carpaccio is served as a whole fish and accompanied by three sauces to choose from.

The wine list includes the best labels from the south of Europe.
